This weekend was probably one of the most fun weekends I have had in Athens in a while! Bottom line. Athens always wins. NO matter how hard you try to get crazy and have a blast and come out ahead.. you just don’t. Friday was spent at the pool.. and then my bestest friend Nikki came up for the night and brought her 3 firefighter friends with her! Needless to say, we had a blast. Happy hour at Boars, dancing at 90ds and late nighting back at Boars… all proved to be successful. We walked all the way home (solid mile and a half) and then decided to go swimming at 3am. Good life choice? Not sure, but sure seemed like it at the time. We got to the pool and there were all these naked people swimming in it. SUPER AWKWARD. haha we were like um okay.. but still thought it was a great idea to go swimming in it too… don’t worry we had bathing suits on. & I mean it is Towne Club pool… worse things have happened there haha. So after managing to swim for a while and continue or dance party back at the apartment, we all passed out around 6am. Funny thinking I am usually awake and working out at that time during the week. The next morning we treated ourselves to breakfast at Chick-Fil-A then I decided to post up on the couch for the remainder of the day….
Justine had gotten back from Europe late the night before, so I just hung out with her and listened to all of her interesting stories from her trip, which of course made me completely jealous and excited for our EuroTrip adventure next summer! My book came in the mail and I can’t wait to start sticky-noting and highlighting like CRAZY. Hopefully Rick Steve’s won’t let me down and his book Europe Through the Back Door was a good purchase.
Anyways, I couldn’t even think about going out on Saturday night, we were all exhausted, so I ended up going to bed at 11:30. Haha. Today I got some more sun at the pool and then headed back to Johns Creek. Currently catching the NBA Finals… MAVS baby.Back to the real world grind tomorrow… counting down the days til Athens on Thursday… or Friday. Hope your weekend was as successful as mine =]
