After coming back from the beach for a week it is hard to get back in the swing of things. Therefore, lets hold on a little bit longer and I will recap my week.
Siesta Key is in Southwest Florida about an hour south of Tampa. It was a lengthy 8 1/2 – 9 hr drive which was mostly spent trying to stay awake by slapping myself and drinking caffeine since all the boys decided to sleep for 3-4 hours, not cool. We finally arrived at our cute beach resort around 4p.m. and after an expensive trip to the grocery store we were ready to check out the beach and town. Most of the week was pretty low key, except for a couple of noise complaints at 9:30 p.m. from the grandpa below us all was pretty smooth sailing. The group of us spent about 5-6 hours a day at the beach laying out, playing horse shoes, walking the water and just goofing off. We attended a few “happy hours” at Daiquiri Deck which was equipped with every kind of daiquiri flavor you can think of. You could call us regulars by the end of the week, which led to some supreme customer service, can’t complain. I have posted a few pics to show a brief recap of the week, with one strikingly similar to the last post 😉
Now it’s back to a crazy week of school, work and extra curriculars. This weekend is sure to be filled with warmth and fun as the weather is beginning to creep up in the 80s again in Athens– HELLO Spring… or Summer??
