>Hopelessly Busy

>So after attending PR Real World last Friday I decided that I need to continue writing my blog as it provides for some great writing samples. I have been meaning to start writing a blog since September of last year but as my blog title states- I am an Organized Mess. I do my best to be extremely organized, but I tend to find myself doing too much and constantly in a whirlwind of different projects that I have gotten myself into.

The main point of my blog last semester was going to be tracking the progress and noting the funny moments that happen in my life while training a black lab- guide dog puppy. As many of you know, her name is Hope and she is now 9-months-old. She brings me so much joy and laughter every day as she is constantly doing something she shouldn’t be doing, or just something unexpected. She is a lot of work-very much like having a child- but I enjoy every moment with her and this adventure has been so worthwhile.

Currently, I want to note the devastation in Christchurch, NZ. I studied abroad there this past summer (as you can see in my previous blog posts) and yesterday there was a 6.4 magnitude earthquake that has led to 65 deaths thus far, and total destruction to the city. The actual “Christchurch” steeple fell off of the top and is now in shambles in the city square. Shown is a picture of the old church before destruction.

Please keep these people in your thoughts and prayers as I have friends studying abroad over there now– whom are all okay- and instructors/friends who still live in the city. My field guide Terry did post on facebook that he is okay, but there are many others still unheard from. This quake happened when many people were out and about in the middle of the day. I know this city is struggling as they suffered a 7.1 magnitude quake in September– no fatalities were recorded as it was nighttime. These people need our help and support.

I look forward to posting more fun and upbeat things soon as I start out on my new blogging adventure. I know that I am super busy but I plan to stay on top of this blog.
